SWAC Announces Men's Basketball Weekly Honors

The Southwestern Athletic Conference announces today that Alcorn State's
Troy Jackson has been named Player of the Week while Alabama State's
Menji Mundadi has been tabbed Newcomer of the Week.

Player of the Week
Troy Jackson, Alcorn State
(6-3, 202, Jr., Guard, Philadelphia, PA)
Jackson averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals
over two games for the Braves.  Against Prairie View A&M, Jackson had 11
points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.  Facing Texas
Southern, he had 30 points, two rebounds and two steals..
On the season, he is averaging 21.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and
2.5 steals per outing.

Newcomer of the Week
Menji Mundadi, Alabama State
(6-3, 195, Jr., Guard, Chicago, IL)
Mundadi averaged 8.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 steals over the weekend.
He had 17 points (including 3-of-7 3-pointers), five rebounds and one
steal in 30 minutes against Jackson State.
On the season, he is averaging 5.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.4 steals
per game.
