  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Coach Hubbard is originally from Center, Texas, and graduated from Center High School in 2017. She pursued her softball career at Coahoma Community College, where she earned an Associate's Degree in General Studies in 2019. Following that, she transferred to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) to continue her softball journey. Although she had two years of eligibility remaining, she had to pause her career in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Hubbard graduated from UAPB with a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education/Recreation Wellness, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. Due to the pandemic, she was granted an additional year of eligibility and seized the opportunity to enroll in a Master's program at UAPB while utilizing her extra year of eligibility to play.

While pursuing her Master's Degree, Hubbard served as a graduate assistant for the softball team. This role allowed her to gain invaluable coaching experience and a deeper understanding of the sport. She worked specifically with pitchers, applying her knowledge to help the entire team prepare for competition.

In 2024, she earned her Master's Degree in Secondary Education-Physical Education/Non-Teaching and returned to her alma mater to begin her coaching career, focusing on the pitchers. Hubbard played a pivotal role in developing UAPB's pitching staff, which became one of the top units in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Under her guidance, All-SWAC pitcher Kayla Adams made history as the first freshman in her school’s history to join the 10-win club by the halfway point of the 2024 season. Adams concluded the season with an impressive total of 201 strikeouts and set several school records, including striking out 16 batters in a single game against Grambling State.

During the 2024 season, Adams led the SWAC in three categories: Earned Run Average (ERA) at 1.53, opposing batting average at .175, and total strikeouts with 194. Additionally, she ranked 7th in the nation for strikeouts per game, averaging 9.9, and placed 10th in total strikeouts.
