2025 (Sophomore – Navarro College):
Transitioned from the defensive line to the offensive line during the offseason, continuing his development within the Bulldogs' program. 

2024 (Freshman – Navarro College):
Began his collegiate career at Navarro College as a defensive lineman. Developed within one of the nation's premier junior college football programs while preserving his eligibility. 

High School:
Graduated from Brownwood High School in Brownwood, Texas, where he established himself as one of the state's top defensive linemen. As a senior, helped lead the Lions to a 12-2 record and a regional finals appearance while recording 81 tackles and four sacks. Earned District 2-4A Division I Most Valuable Player honors and was recruited to play nose guard at Navarro College.
During his junior season, McCarty was one of the most productive defensive linemen in Texas, finishing with 128 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one blocked punt. He was named the District 2-4A Division I Defensive MVP, earned Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class 4A Second Team All-State honors, was selected to the Padilla Poll Class 4A Division I Second Team All-State, and was named to the prestigious Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Class 4A Super Elite Tea
