2025 (UAPB): Appeared in 11 games for the Golden Lions, recording 22 total tackles with eight solo stops and 14 assists. Finished the season with 1.0 tackle for loss for four yards, 0.5 sack for three yards, one fumble recovery and two quarterback hurries. Recorded a season-high four tackles against Lincoln (CA) and Grambling. Against Lincoln (CA), totaled four tackles with 0.5 tackle for loss and 0.5 sack. Added three tackles against Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M. Recorded a fumble recovery against Southern and quarterback hurries against Grambling and Florida A&M.

2024 (Arkansas Tech): Appeared in five games for the Wonder Boys, finishing with two total tackles, including one solo stop and one assist. Also recorded one quarterback hurry. Registered tackles against Southern Nazarene and Southern Arkansas and added a quarterback hurry against East Central.

2023 (Arkansas Tech): Saw action against Harding during the 2023 season, recording two assisted tackles.

Arkansas Tech Career: Appeared in six games over two seasons, totaling four tackles with one solo stop and three assists. Also recorded one quarterback hurry.

High School: Played at Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he was a standout defensive end and linebacker for the Wildcats. Emerged as one of the leaders of the Watson Chapel defense and was a key member of the Wildcats' defensive front during his senior season. Head coach Maurice Moody described Sims and fellow defensive lineman Mekhi Brown as “almost unstoppable.” Recorded multiple-tackle performances during his prep career, including three tackles against White Hall and three against Maumelle during the 2021 season. Following his senior season, signed with Arkansas Tech as an outside linebacker as part of the Wonder Boys' 2023 recruiting class.
