Biography

2025 (North Greenville): Spent his redshirt freshman season at North Greenville as a tight end. Did not record any game statistics.

2024 (North Greenville): Joined the North Greenville football program as a freshman and redshirted the season.

High School: Played at Ashley Ridge High School in Summerville, South Carolina, where he developed into one of the state's top tight ends. As a senior in 2023, Simmons caught 19 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 10.2 yards per reception and 17.6 receiving yards per game. He helped Ashley Ridge finish 8-3 overall.

Following his senior season, Simmons was named Class 5A All-State by the South Carolina Football Coaches Association at tight end. He was also selected to participate in the 2023 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl, representing the South squad.

Simmons recorded several productive performances during his senior campaign, including five receptions for 45 yards against St. James, four catches for 39 yards against Cane Bay, two receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown against Stall, and two catches for 30 yards against Wando.

As a junior in 2022, Simmons was regarded as one of Ashley Ridge's top returning players. He recorded a season-highlight performance against Stall with two receptions for 67 yards, averaging 33.5 yards per catch.
Simmons was a four-year member of the Ashley Ridge varsity program, playing tight end from 2020-23.
