Torenzo Quinn joined the Golden Lions football staff as defensive backs coach in spring of 2018. In 2020, he was named Assistant Head Coach and will coach the safeties and serve as the defensive passing game coordinator.

In his previous two seasons, he has guided the emergence of Shawn Steele into one of the SWAC's top defensive backs. In 2019, Steele was tied for sixth in the SWAC in interceptions (three) and tied for the league lead in pass breakups with 18. Also in 2019, Blake Conner led the team in both solo tackles (43) and total tackles (77) while also recording two interceptions and two forced fumbles. 

Prior to UAPB, Quinn spent the 2016 season as a graduate assistant with the Alcorn State University football team, working primarily with the cornerbacks. In 2017 he was in charge of overseeing all of the defensive backs.

As a graduate assistant, Quinn was part of a defensive staff that saw Alcorn rank 1st in the conference in fewest pass completions. The Braves were also #2 in total defense in the league, en route to its third consecutive SWAC East Division title.

Prior to Alcorn, Coach Quinn was the offensive coordinator at Ruleville Central High School in Ruleville, Mississippi for three seasons. He also spent a year as a defensive backs coach at Mississippi Delta Community College.

Quinn is a 2010 graduate of the University of Memphis where he earned a degree in liberal studies. He played defensive back at Memphis and was a two-year starter at nickelback. He went on to earn his master's degree in athletic coaching from North Central University in 2016.
