Ross Williams enters his first season at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Jacksonville, Florida native currently serves as the Running Backs Coach and Director of Video Operations at UAPB. Coach Williams brings over seven years of coaching experience to our football staff. 

Prior to his arrival in Pine Bluff, Coach Williams served as the Assistant Wide Receivers Coach and Video Coordinator at Missouri State University. While at Missouri State, he was part of a prolific offense led by Head Coach Bobby Petrino. During his tenure at Missouri State, the Bears' offense ranked second in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, averaging over 282 yards per game. Williams played a major part in bringing along current Kansas City Chiefs Wideout Ty Scott, who set school records for receptions (66), receiving yards (1,110), and receiving touchdowns (8), earning Scott 1st-Team All MVFC honors as well as 1st-Team Hero Sports All-American honors. 

Prior to Missouri State, Williams was the Running Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Edward Waters University. While at Edward Waters, Williams oversaw a group responsible for a rushing attack that accumulated over 1700 yards. Williams showed his recruiting prowess by signing 3-star Running Back Tyler King, who transferred from Marshall University. At Marshall, King led the team in Rushing for two consecutive seasons and was named Conference USA Freshman of the Year. 

Prior to being named Running Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Edward Waters, Williams was Tight Ends Coach. Williams led a unit that included Team Captain Quinlin Bisbee, who was the team's 2nd leading receiver during the spring season. Prior to his tenure at EWU, Coach Williams served as the WR's Coach at Atlantic Coast High School in Jacksonville, FL. While at Atlantic Coast, Coach Willams played a part in developing Wide Receiver Patrick Bryant who ESPN recognized as one of the top 300 players in the nation. 

As a player, Ross Williams was a decorated football standout in the Jacksonville area. Williams played collegiately at Bethune Cookman University, where he was a part of 2 HBCU National Championship Teams. He would later finish his career at Monmouth University in New Jersey.

Williams graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Decision Sciences from Monmouth University in 2016.

Coach Williams is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The American Football Coaches Association, The Positive Coaching Alliance, and The Jacksonville Urban League. He is the proud father to his 7-year-old daughter, Eden Grace.
