The men's golf program victory marked UAPB’s third conference title in a four-year span, further solidifying the program as one of the premier rising forces in HBCU and mid-major golf.

PINE BLUFF, AR. — The Golden Lions are headed back to the national stage and this time, the entire campus is invited to be part of the moment.

Fresh off capturing their third Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men's Golf Championship in the last four years (2023, 2024, 2026) and the 2025 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship HBCU national title, finishing as the No. 1 ranked HBCU program in the country, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's golf program will host an NCAA Men's Golf Championship Selection Show watch party on Wednesday inside the L.A. Davis Student Union.

UAPB delivered a dominant performance at the 2026 SWAC Men's Golf Championship, held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Oxmoor Valley's Ridge Course, finishing with a three-round total of 876 (+12) to secure the conference crown. The Golden Lions opened with a blistering 287 (-1), followed with a 299 (+11) in round two, and closed with a steady 290 (+2) to hold off strong challenges from Florida A&M and Prairie View A&M.

The victory marked UAPB's third conference title in a four-year span, further solidifying the program as one of the premier rising forces in HBCU and mid-major golf. Multiple Golden Lions placed among the tournament's top finishers, led by veteran standout Jules De Reu and a deep, consistent lineup that controlled the leaderboard from start to finish. Now, the focus shifts from the fairways to the national spotlight.

The Golden Lions will learn their NCAA Regional destination during the official selection show, with players, coaches, students, faculty, and supporters invited to gather on the second floor of the L.A. Davis Student Union for the watch party. Doors will open at 12 p.m., with the show scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. CT. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a signed UAPB foam finger to commemorate another milestone moment in program history.

For the Golden Lions, the selection show represents both a celebration and the beginning of a new challenge. UAPB has already proven its resilience, navigating a competitive SWAC field and a demanding championship course to bring another title back to Pine Bluff.

The NCAA Regional stage now provides an opportunity to compete against the nation's top programs, showcase the continued rise of Golden Lions golf, and add to an era already defined by championship success.
