#UAPBWomensHoops: Second Half Dominance Lifts Lady Lions over Bethune-Cookman 77-54

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The Arkansas-Pine Bluff women's basketball team turned in a strong bounce-back performance on Thursday night, using a dominant second half to defeat Bethune-Cookman 77-54 in SWAC action at H.O. Clemmons Arena.

The Lady Lions withstood a tight opening 20 minutes and trailed by two at the break (33-31), but flipped the game with energy, execution, and pressure on the defensive end coming out of halftime.

UAPB set the tone in the third quarter, outscoring Bethune-Cookman 24-8 to take control and build separation heading into the final period. The Lady Lions stayed aggressive on both ends, sharing the ball and consistently getting quality looks while forcing turnovers that fueled their momentum. Arkansas-Pine Bluff finished the night shooting 27-of-47 from the field and recorded 21 assists, showing the team's balance and rhythm offensively as the lead continued to grow down the stretch.

Indiya Bowen led the way with a complete performance, finishing with 21 points, seven assists, and four steals, while Khaniah Gardner added 15 points and seven rebounds. Jailah Pelly chipped in 12 points and four assists, and UAPB's defensive activity stood out with 15 steals and 24 forced turnovers on the night.
