PINE BLUFF, AR. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football team will officially kick off its 2025 campaign with a historic matchup against the nationally ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, August 30. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas, with live coverage on ESPN+.

This will mark the first-ever meeting between UAPB and Texas Tech, as the Golden Lions look to make an early statement against a Big 12 opponent to open the season.

The matchup provides Head Coach Alonzo Hampton and the Golden Lions with an opportunity to showcase their talent and depth against one of the nation's top programs. With a mix of returning playmakers and fresh talent, UAPB will aim to carry momentum into Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play later this fall.
