BIRMINGHAM, AL - Junior right-handed pitcher Kenney Fabian has been named to the 2025 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) First Team All-Conference, a testament to his exceptional performance throughout the season for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions.
Hailing from Choctaw, Oklahoma, Fabian emerged as a cornerstone of the Golden Lions' pitching staff. In conference play, he posted a 6–2 record with a 2.34 ERA over 65.1 innings, striking out 48 batters and holding opponents to a .227 batting average. His overall season statistics include a 6–6 record, 3.01 ERA, and 57 strikeouts across 80.2 innings pitched.
One of Fabian's standout performances came on May 15, when he delivered a complete-game shutout against Alabama A&M, allowing just four hits, walking two, and striking out six. Earlier in the season, on May 9, he pitched another complete-game shutout against Jackson State, surrendering six hits with no walks and five strikeouts. These dominant outings earned him SWAC Co-Pitcher and Co-Newcomer of the Week honors.
Fabian's contributions were instrumental in UAPB's successful season, culminating in a 17–9 conference record and a No. 4 seed in the SWAC Tournament. His consistent excellence on the mound provided stability and confidence to the Golden Lions' pitching rotation.
