PINE BLUFF, AR --The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team got a 25-point showing from the bench, but fell 75-61 to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs at home Monday.
Doctor Bradley led the Golden Lions with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. Christian Moore tacked on six points, seven rebounds and three steals off the bench and Quentin Bolton Jr. helped out with nine points, seven rebounds and two steals.
UAPB forced 23 Alabama A&M turnovers while committing 18 themselves in Monday's game. The Golden Lions turned those takeaways into 21 points on the offensive end of the floor. Bradley's four steals led the way for UAPB.
How It Happened
After falling behind 16-13, UAPB went on a 5-0 run with 6:04 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Moore, to take an 18-16 lead. The Golden Lions then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 29-24.
Alabama A&M kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 62-41 advantage before UAPB went on an 8-0 run, finished off by Bolton Jr.'s layup, to shrink the deficit to 62-49 with 4:28 to go in the contest. Alabama A&M responded and outscored the Golden Lions the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 75-61. UAPB took care of business in the paint, recording 24 of its 37 points in the lane.
