PINE BLUFF, AR. — Danarius Hilliard, linebacker for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, earned HBCU BOXTOROW First Team All-American honors after also being named SWAC First Team All-Conference, solidifying his status as one of the most dominant defensive players in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
Hilliard finished the season first in the SWAC in tackles per game (8.2), establishing himself as the league's most consistent tackling presence. He also ranked second in total tackles (90) and tied for 10th in sacks (3.5), highlighting his ability to make plays at every level of the defense, from sideline-to-sideline pursuit to backfield disruption.
One of Hilliard's signature performances came against Florida A&M, where he recorded a season-high 15 tackles, along with a tackle for loss and a sack, anchoring the Golden Lions' defensive effort with relentless energy and physicality.
