#UAPBGolf: Golden Lions Men’s Golf Finishes Second at SAS Tournament Invitational

The Golden Lions, who captured the tournament title last season, secured a top-two finish for the second consecutive year in a highly competitive field.

Cary, N.C. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's golf team continued its strong play, finishing second overall with a team score of 875 (297-286-292) at the SAS Tournament Invitational held at Prestonwood Country Club.

The Golden Lions, who captured the tournament title last season, secured a top-two finish for the second consecutive year in a highly competitive field.

Junior Cole Wiese led the way for UAPB, tying for seventh place with a +6-over-par 216 (77-69-70). Fellow junior Jules De Reu followed closely behind, tying for ninth place with a +7-over-par 217 (70-75-72).

Junior Robin Duzman finished with a solid +9-over-par 219 (78-70-71), while sophomore Juan Melida tied for 19th at +15-over-par 225 (74-72-79). Freshman Thomas Lyaudet rounded out the lineup, finishing 27th with a +25-over-par 235 (76-78-81).

The Golden Lions will take a week off before traveling to Springfield, Missouri, to compete in the Missouri State Intercollegiate Invitational, scheduled for October 26–28.
