HUNTSVILLE, AL --Doctor Bradley scored 30 points, but the UAPB men's basketball team fell to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 89-79 on the road Saturday.
Bradley added eight rebounds and four steals to his 30 point game to lead the Golden Lions. Christian Moore helped out with eight points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals and Caleb Jones chipped in with 16 points coming off the bench.
UAPB grabbed 39 rebounds in Saturday's game compared to Alabama A&M's 36, led by Bradley's eight boards. The Golden Lions also cleaned up the offensive glass, turning 17 rebounds into 16 second chance points.
UAPB forced 18 Alabama A&M turnovers. The Golden Lions turned those takeaways into 13 points on the other end of the floor. Bradley's four steals led the way for UAPB.
How It Happened
After falling behind 28-16, UAPB went on a 13-0 run with 6:54 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Bradley, to take a 29-28 lead. The Golden Lions then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 41-34.
UAPB could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 89-79. UAPB got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 14 of its 45 total points.
