LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- UAPB Golden Lions drop their season opener to SEC foe Arkansas on the road Thursday night at War Memorial Stadium. 

The Razorbacks improved to 1-0 on the season, while the Golden Lions dropped to 0-1.

On the offensive side Aramoni Rhone hauled in two catches for 34 yards, followed by JaVonnie Gibson with two catches for 32 yards  

Ja'Marlin Green led the UAPB defensive effort, recording seven tackles with one solo, Kyle Vocque also added seven tackles with two solos. 

The Golden Lions will be back in action Saturday, September 7, when they host Arkansas Baptist at Simmons Banks Field.
