Baton Rouge, LA--The UAPB Lady Lions won a close one on Friday, taking down the Southern Jaguars by the score of 3-1 in game one in conference play.
Kayla Adams got the win for UAPB. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing no walks and striking out seven.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 1-0, the Lady Lions first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. UAPB scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-run single off the bat of Samaria Jackson. The score remained 3-1 for the rest of the game, as the Lady Lions held on for the win.
