COLUMBIA, MO --The UAPB men's basketball team got a 46-point performance from the bench, but fell 112-63 to the Missouri Tigers on the road Sunday.
Chop Paljor led the Golden Lions (1-6) with 22 points. Klemen Vuga tacked on eight points and seven rebounds and Kyle Brown helped out with six points off of the bench.
Led by Quentin Bolton Jr.'s two offensive rebounds, UAPB did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 11 boards that resulted in 11 second chance points.
How It Happened
UAPB struggled out of the gate, falling behind 52-25 heading into halftime.
Missouri kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 95-47 advantage before UAPB went on a 6-0 run, finished off by Paljor's three, to shrink the deficit to 95-53 with 6:09 to go in the contest. Missouri responded and outscored the Golden Lions the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 112-63. UAPB shot well from three-point range in the half, hitting seven shots from deep to score 21 of its 38 points.
