PINE BLUFF, AR --The UAPB volleyball team could not overcome an opposing Lady Panthers offense Monday at home falling to Prairie View A&M in three sets (19-25, 9-25, 22-25).

Zykia Jones finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Lady Lions attack. got 10 digs from Jones to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Lady Lions fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-19. UAPB trailed by as many as eight points as Prairie View A&M never gave up the lead in a set that was tied up zero times before the Lady Panthers took control.

SET 2 | A 25-9 set-two loss put UAPB behind two sets to none in the match. The Lady Lions dropped the first point and never took the lead before dropping the set.

SET 3 | UAPB couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Lady Lions came up short by the score of 25-22. Prairie View A&M grabbed the advantage for good at 5-4 in a set that was tied up five times before the Lady Panthers took over the lead.
