Fayetteville, AR.- Caleb Snowden claimed the top-three spot in the men's high jump and seven personal records were set by the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff track and field athletes at the Arkansas Invitational held at the Randal Tyson Track Center. 

Snowden, qualified for national finals in last season (2023) by winning the NCAA West Preliminary.  Snowden, who cleared 6-11, finished third over some of the top jumpers at the invitational. 

On the men's side, the Golden Lions had three runners to place in the top-eight. Junior Mohamed Sourmare placed second with a of (34.21 PR), followed by freshman Pierre Brownlee-Ford, who made his collegiate debut at the sixth slot with a time of (35.27 PR), and junior Che Rochford rounding out in the seventh slot with a time of (35.36 PR).

In the final running events, UAPB placed third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:16.24. Freshman Pierre Brownlee-Ford placed eighth in the long jump competition with a leap of 7.07m. 

On the women's side, freshman Kalani Vreen placed third in the 300m with a time of (40.92 PR). Junior Kaiel Kimble placed 13th in the 400m with a time of (59.38 PR).
In the field events Ariyonna Edmond threw her personal best in the shot put, with a distance of (12.73 PR). Junior Lyric Love placed eighth in the weight throw with a distance of 15.47m. 

The Golden Lions will be back in action as they travel to Birmingham, Alabama Jan. 19 for the Samford University Invitational.
