GAME 1 | Grambling 13, UAPB 3
GRAMBLING, La. --Jada Carhee went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the UAPB Lady Lions in a 13-3 loss to the Grambling Lady Tigers on Sunday.
Danika Bryant started and took the loss in the circle for UAPB.
Carhee led the way offensively for the Lady Lions, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame with a home run and two RBI. Kaitlyn Neely furnished a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-for-1 with a home run and an RBI. Naiyestlie Ware also chipped in, going 1-for-1 for UAPB with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 7-0, the Lady Lions first put runs on the board in the second inning. Neely put UAPB on the board with a leadoff home run off junior Dacia .
The Lady Lions kept the Lady Tigers off the board before narrowing the gap further in the third. UAPB scored twice on Carhee's two-run homer, which tightened the Lady Tigers lead to 7-3. The Lady Lions were unable to get any closer, as Grambling added six runs to their tally on the way to a 13-3 final.

GAME 2 | UAPB 4, Grambling 3
GRAMBLING, La. --Sydney Green was dominant on Sunday in game two, striking out nine Grambling St. hitters over eight innings of work to help lead the UAPB Lady Lions past the Lady Tigers 4-3.
In addition to her nine strikeouts, Green (5-13) went eight innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on seven hits and walking two for UAPB (7-37, 3-18).
Samaria Jackson led the way offensively for the Lady Lions, going 3-for-4 in the ballgame with a double. Jada Carhee compiled a standout effort as well, going 1-for-4 with two RBI. Tyrah Elerby also contributed, going 2-for-2 for UAPB with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Lions got on the scoreboard first, starting in the fourth inning. UAPB scored three times, picking up one on an RBI base knock off the bat of Elerby.
After the Lady Tigers rallied to tie the ballgame at three, the Lady Lions came back to retake the lead in the eighth inning. UAPB scored once on an RBI single off the bat of Carhee, which brought the Lady Lions lead to 4-3. The score remained 4-3 for the rest of the game, as UAPB held on for the win.

The Lady Lions will be back in action Tuesday, April 25, when they host Arkansas Baptist College. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.Â
