MEMPHIS, Tenn. --The UAPB Lady Lions got off to a slow start on Wednesday, falling to the Memphis Tigers by final score of 6-1.
Danika Bryant started and took the loss in the circle for UAPB.
Offensively, the Lady Lions were led by Samaria Jackson, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Lions put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the third inning. Sierra Johnson came across to score the lone run of the inning for UAPB and get them on the board. The Lady Lions were unable to hold the lead, as Memphis scored six times over the remaining four innings to grab the 6-1 win.

» Jackson led the Lady Lions at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double.
The Lady Lions will be back in conference play Sunday, March 26, when they host Southern U. in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 11 a.m.
