GAME 1 | Grambling 10, UAPB 1
PINE BLUFF, Arkansas -Â Despite picking up nine hits in the ballgame and out-hitting Grambling, UAPB was unable to push across more runs, as the Lady Lions lost to the Lady Tigers 10-1 Saturday.
Sydney Green started and took the loss in the circle for UAPB. Freshman Danika Bryant was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit, walking one and striking out three.
Offensively, the Lady Lions were led by Jazlyn Gomez, who went 2-for-4 on the day. Freshman Justice Walton furnished a standout effort as well, going 2-for-3.

PINE BLUFF, Arkansas -Â An explosive offensive output was not enough for UAPB on Saturday. The Lady Lions tallied six runs, but could not hold the Grambling Lady Tigers at bay, and were bested 12-6.
Freshman Danika Bryant started and took the loss in the circle for UAPB.
At the plate, the Lady Lions were led by freshman Ariana Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a triple and an RBI. Jazlyn Gomez furnished a noteworthy effort as well, going 1-for-2 with two walks. Tyrah Elerby also helped out for UAPB, putting together two hits in two trips to the plate.
