PINE BLUFF, Arkansas -- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff falls to Alcorn State at home Saturday afternoon at Simmons Bank Field.
Chancellor Edwards led UAPB's passing attack with 221 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without throwing an interception.
Daemon Dawkins hauled in seven catches for 80 yards. Kenji Lewis made his presence felt in the passing game, recording four receptions for 51 yards.
Grant Ewell Jr. paced the UAPB defensive effort, totaling one forced fumble and one recovered fumble. RoetherCameron added six tackles and Derell Holston had five tackles in the loss.
How It Happened
UAPB responded to an early 14-0 Alcorn State advantage with a second quarter touchdown to narrow the deficit to 14-7. The Braves tacked on 17 more points to finish off the scoring.
