PINE BLUFF, AR. -The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Preseason All-American offensive lineman Mark Evans II was named to the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List announced earlier this week.  

The Reese's Senior Bowl selects elite draft prospects from around the country to showcase their talent and connect them with coaches and decision-makers from all 32 NFL teams. The event has been held annually since 1950. The next game will take place on February 4, 2023, at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala., and will be broadcast on the NFL Network. Practices will be live on ESPN, and NFL Network hosts a daily recap show each evening in primetime.

Evans elected to return to the Golden Lions for his additional year of eligibility after graduating in May of 2022. 

The selection is the sixth preseason honor for Evans in 2022, as he was previously named Black College Football Hall of Fame Watch List. 

Evans was also named to the Stats Perform FCS All-America Third Team, BoxToRow HBCU All-America First Team, and East-West Shrine Bowl 1,000 list. He's also a four-time First Team (SWAC) All-Conference, three-time HBCU Boxtorow All-America, Boxtorow All-America Honoree, HBCU Classic All-American, and Rated top-10 HBCU player by Pro Football Network.

The timeline for an invitation to participate in the Senior Bowl looks like this: 

 The first round of 20 "automatic" invites go out at the end of October, with another group of 40 "priority" invites to follow a few weeks later.

 – By December 1, the next group of 40 "in-season" invites have been mailed, so the period of time between the end of the regular season and the college bowl games can be spent on finalizing both 58-man rosters.

– After the bowl games are concluded, the Reese's Senior Bowl will use "emergency" invites to fill any holes on either roster that develop due to injury.
