#UAPBSoftball Drops Two Games In Lady Demon Classic

Natchitoches, LA -- The Lady Lions fell in two games on Saturday to UT Martin (9-0) and Chattanooga (17-0) in the Lady Demon Classic.

Kirsten Schmidt got the ball to start for UAPB and finished with two strikeouts. Freshman Paola Rodriguez was a bright spot for the Lady Lions, coming out of the bullpen and throwing one scoreless inning, allowing one hit.

Offensively, the Lady Lions were led by Samaria Jackson and Zharia Richardson, who both went 1-for-2 on the day.

Paola Rodriguez started the second game and finished with three strikeouts. Kirsten Schmidt was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning while allowing one hit, walking none and striking out one.

At the plate, Amari Broughton and Desiree Bumpers went 1-for-2 on the day and both Sierra Johnson and Kaitlyn Neely added a hit for the Lady Lions.
