GRAMBLING, LA -- The Golden Lions fell 36-10 to Grambling St. in conference play on the road Saturday afternoon.
Skyler Perry led UAPB's passing attack with 228 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown.
Perry totaled 34 yards to lead the UAPB's ground attack in the game, picking up 4.2 yards per carry along the way. Kayvon Britten also tacked on 32 yards on the ground, as well as 38 receiving yards.
Kenji Lewis reeled in six catches for 78 yards and one score. Daemon Dawkins got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in five balls for 77 yards.
Jamal Henderson added six tackles, 1.5 TFL, and one interception and Rico Dozier had nine tackles, 2.0 TFL, and one sack in the loss.
UAPB won the turnover battle in Saturday's game, forcing two turnovers.
Defensively, UAPB did an impressive job restricting the Grambling passing attack, holding the GRAM to 82 yards through the air.
How It Happened
The Tigers opened up a 14-0 lead, UAPB put points on the scoreboard with 10:07 left in the third quarter to narrow the margin to 14-3.After Grambling scored to increase its lead to 22-3, UAPB scored again to close the gap and make it a 22-10 game. The Tigers added 14 more points late in the game to seal the win at home.

» Dozier led the UAPB with nine tackles.
» This is the second consecutive game the defense forced the opponent quarterback to throw an interception.
