The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Lady Lions dominated Talladega College on Wednesday night by a score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-21).

The Lady Lions offensively handled Talladega with 43 total kills. Zyonn Smith led the game with 13 kills in the contest. Zykia Jones added 10 kills, and Destiny Thomas added six kills to help UAPB in the sweep.

"We played with passion, and understand what it takes to win," said head coach Chelsey Lucas. "You always want to protect your home court, and our squad came out and gave it their all. It was exciting to watch and I'm pleased with the win."

Leading the Lady Lions in assists was Nikole Akamine with 18, followed by Vanessa Collins with 15 assists.

Jones led the game in digs with 15, and Nyah Ellis added to the total with 14 digs.
