The Lady Lions fell in two games on Friday afternoon in the Tiger Brawl Invitational.

UAPB loss to Memphis 3-0 (15-25, 16-25, 16-25) and Tennessee-Martin 3-0 (14-25, 22-25, 20-25).

Zyonn Smith led the game in kills with 11, in the match against Memphis. 

Nikole Akamine had a team-high of 14 assists, followed by Vanessa Collins adding 11 assists to go with 10 digs for the Lady Lions. 

Leading the game in digs for the Lady Lions was Nyah Ellis with 15.

In the game against Tennessee-Martin, Smith tallied nine kills to pace the Lady Lions.

Leading the team in blocks for the Lady Lions was Kori Diego with three. 

Akamine had 12 assists to lead the Lady Lions, while Zykia Jones posted a game-high 16 digs.

The Lady Lions combined for 55 kills through both games.

UAPB will return to action Saturday, Sep. 18th against Arkansas State at 9 A.M. to close out the Tiger Brawl.
