The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff first team is back in action today as the Golden Lions traveled to Manhattan, Kansas, to take on Kansas St. in a midweek two-game series at Tointon Family Stadium.  The first pitch is scheduled for today at 6 p.m. and Tuesday at 3 p.m.
 
The game will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and on the ESPN App.

This matchup will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2016 when the Wildcats defeated the Golden Lions 13-8.

The Golden Lions, a very young ball club, is coming off a tough three-game weekend series at home, where Grambling St. won all three matchups.
 
Despite being a young ball club, senior Nick Kreutzer continues to dominate at the plate for the Golden Lions. Kreutzer ranks for fourth in the (SWAC) conference in home runs with five and 17 RBIs, followed by junior Kacey Higgins, who ranks 11th in batting average .333.

Junior Tony Horn Jr. (1-1) leads the team on the mound with an era .346.

The Wildcats is coming off a series win over Texas Tech led by Zach Kokoska, who leads the team with 10 homers, followed by Dylan Phillips, who leads the team at the plate batting .347 seven and home runs.
