The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team hits the road for their conference three-game weekend series against Prairie View A&M at Tankersley Field.
Due to inclement weather in the area the two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 24, instead of Friday to start the series with the first pitch at 12 p.m., followed by the second game. Sunday first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
UAPB will provide live stat coverage of all three games, with link available at uapblionsroar.com/gameday/baseball on the free UAPB Athletics App.
The Golden Lions are coming off a two-game series against No. 19 Oklahoma St., before their second meeting of the season with the Panthers.
Junior Kacy Higgins ranks ninth in the (SWAC) conference in hitting, batting .339 at the plate, followed by senior Nick Kreutzer who's tied for sixth in the conference home runs with five, and junior Karsten Vasquez who's tied for seventh in the conference in doubles with seven.
The Panthers are coming off a 12-2 loss to Baylor, led by Brayden Johnson at the plate, batting .300.
