#UAPBBaseball Falls to #1 Arkansas

Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, AR – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team took a loss in game two against the number-one ranked University of Arkansas Razorbacks with a final score of 26-1, Wednesday evening at Baum Walker Stadium.

Junior Karsten Vasquez led the Golden Lions at the plate going 2-for-4, followed by junior Kacy Higgins going 2-for-2 and senior Nick Kreutzer going 1-for-3 with a RBI.

The Razorbacks jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead at the bottom of the first inning, adding two more runs to have an 8-0 lead over the Golden Lions.

A Vasquez run would get the Golden Lions on the board against Arkansas, but Arkansas took off and did not look back adding seven runs in the bottom of the third and 11 runs at the bottom of the fifth to take the victory over the Golden Lions.

Golden Lion baseball will be back in action on Friday in a three-game series against the Texas Southern Tigers at the Torii Hunter Baseball Complex. The first pitch is set for 3 p.m.
