#UAPBSoccer Falls To Tulsa In Season Finale

 
Tulsa, OK.- The University of Arkansas of Pine Bluff soccer team wrapped up their spring season Sunday evening against Conference USA foe Tulsa Hurricanes at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Complex. The Lady Canes defeated the Lady Lions 7-0 in non-conference play.
 
In the first period, Tulsa set the tempo jumping out to a 4-0.  UAPB fought to get in the rhythm of the game with shot attempts from freshman Tobi McCoy who led for the team with two shots and one shot on goal. Tulsa would add another goal right before the half and go into intermission with a 5-0 lead.
 
The Lady Lions looked to get the ball to fall their way with two more shot attempts from sophomore Cayla Goncalves and freshman Iyannah Hicks during the second period.

Tulsa would tack on two more goals late in the game to take a 7-0 win. 
 
Losing three seniors due to graduation (Amanda Mouton, Clara Morales, and Kaitlyn Hapke) in first-year UAPB head coach Eric Solberg era, the Lady Lions will definitely have a bright future ahead, returning a good group of students-athletes, including All-SWAC first and second team Hicks and junior Cameron Rodriguez.
