#UAPBBaseball Set For Midweek Game Against No. 9 TCU

Pine Bluff, Ark. - Following a series win over Texas Southern, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team will hit the road for a midweek non-conference game to take on No. 9 Texas Christian University Tuesday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. at Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium at Williams-Reilly Field.

The game will be televised live on Big 12 Now on the ESPN+ app.

This is the first meeting between the two programs since 2018, with TCU winning the last matchup.

The Golden Lions (2-8, 2-1 SWAC) offense got off to a hot start winning game two-of-three to clinch the conference series against Texas Southern to close out the weekend of play.

After dropping game one, UAPB out hit the Tigers in the last two games and received excellent pitching and defense.

UAPB is led by senior Nick Kreutzer, who's tied for first in the conference in home runs with three and seventh in the conference batting .360, with a slugging percentage .760, and 10 RBI's, followed by sophomore DeClaudio Irvin batting .350, and freshman Dante Leach, who's batting .296, six RBI's and one home run.

Tony Horn Jr. (1-1) leads UAPB on the mound with a 3.97 ERA.

TCU (10-6) is coming off 10-7 loss to Gonzaga in 11 innings. The Horned Frogs is led at the plate by Phillip Sikes, who's batting .417.
