#UAPBBaseball Face Texas Southern In Three-Game Series

Houston, TX. - After beginning the 2021 season with a seven-game road swing and preparing for a home opener against Alabama A&M, which was canceled. The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team will hit on the road once again to face Texas Southern for a three-game series on March 12-14 at MacGregor Park.

The first pitch for game one is set for Friday at 5 p.m.

The Golden Lions was scheduled to play Alabama A&M last weekend at the Torii Hunter Complex, but the game was canceled due to Covid-19 protocols within the Bulldogs program.

Texas Southern (3-10) is coming off a midweek (10-4) loss at LSU. Oscar Ponce leads the Tigers at the plate, batting .552 and 14 RBI's.

Sophomore infielder Braeline Hence who ranks fifth in the conference in batting average, leads UAPB (0-7) at the plate, batting .421, followed by senior infielder Nick Kreutzer who's tied for second in the conference in home runs with two, batting .368 with a .737 slugging percentage and seven RBI's.
