JACKSON, Miss. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team again was locked in a tough battle, but fell at Jackson State 63-55 Monday night.
Shaun Doss Jr. registered his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Jalen Lynn scored 12 points off the bench, and
Joshuwan Johnson scored 11 points.
Markedric Bell added four points, eight rebounds, and six blocked shots.
Trailing 24-19 at halftime, UAPB and Jackson State went nearly toe-to-toe in the second half, as the game featured six lead changes and two ties over the final 20 minutes. A jumper
by Doss gave the Golden Lions the lead for the final time at 41-40 with just over 10 minutes remaining.
However, JSU outscored the Golden Lions 23-14 down the stretch to take the win.
