UAPB Athletics Announces Brown As Associate Director Of Sports Information

A product of the pride at the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Keionte Brown joins his alma mater's athletic department for the 2021-2022 calendar year. Brown will begin his career as the Associate Director of Strategic Communications for Athletics and Assistant Director of Community Relations.

Brown is a proud native of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and has impacted his community, focusing on the youth in Jefferson County, from sports to music.

Before returning to his hometown, Brown served as a Graduate Assistant of Sports Information at Grambling State University. He assisted and excelled in media for the department with game recap videos and photos of all sports.

Brown is a 2020 graduate of UAPB, receiving his bachelor's degree in Physical Education. During his undergraduate tenure, Brown was active in many organizations, including the world-renowned Vesper Choir, the Marching Musical Machine of the Mid-South Band (M4), and the athletic department as a student media specialist.

Brown spent years as a freelance sportswriter for the Pine Bluff Commercial newspaper, covering sports from the levels of youth to the collegiates.

Brown is a proud brother of the Gamma Sigma chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
