The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff volleyball team is set to host the first annual "Roar Classic" at H.O. Clemmons Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 26th.
The event will feature the Lady Lions as well as in-state programs Arkansas at Fort Smith and Arkansas at Monticello.
Each team will face each other for a total of three games at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
The Lady Lions will compete against UAM at 2 p.m. to open the classic, followed by a match between UAM and UAFS at 4 p.m.
UAPB will close out the event against UAFS at 6 p.m.Â
The Lady Lions come off a road win against Prairie View last week, led by Zyonn Smith who finished with game-highs of 15 kills and 25 digs.Â
Keaundra Sykes  finished with a game-high 22 assists for UAPB. Nikole Akamine added 18 assists to go along with 14 digs in the match.
Diego led the game in blocks with five, and Nyah Ellis added 20 digs to pace the Lady Lions defensively.
