The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team came up short in a 73-56 loss to the Prairie View A&M Panthers at home Monday.
The Golden Lions (3-12, 2-4 SWAC) had three players score in double figures, led by
Jalen Lynn, who had 13 points and four assists.
Joshuwan Johnson tacked on 12 points and
Shaun Doss Jr. chipped in as well with 10 points and two steals.
Doss Jr. pulled down three offensive rebounds to lead the UAPB offense which grabbed 13 boards and turned them into 17 second chance points.
UAPB struggled out of the gate, falling behind 40-20 heading into halftime.
The Golden Lions continued to battle for 40 minutes, outscoring PVAMU 36-33 in the second half. And shot 50 percent from three-point range after halftime.
UAPB returns to action Saturday as part of a doubleheader with the Golden Lion women at Grambling.
