LORMAN, Miss. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team lost at Alcorn 82-48 Monday afternoon.

Markedric Bell and Shaun Doss Jr. each scored 10 points, with Bell adding eight rebounds and three blocks, and Doss five rebounds and two steals.

After UAPB took a 7-1 lead, Alcorn took the lead and pulled away for a 34-25 halftime lead. In the second half, the Golden Lions could get no closer than seven points on several occasions before a scoring drought broke the game open for Alcorn.

The Golden Lions return to action Saturday in at 5 p.m. doubleheader in game two of doubleheader with women's basketball vs. Texas Southern. The UAPB Sports Radio Network
