JACKSON, Miss. --The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's basketball team lost at Jackson St. 68-47 Monday night.
The Lady Lions (6-21, 5-12 SWAC) had two players score in double figures, led by
Kyeonia Harris, who had 16 points, five assists and two steals.
Jayla Atmore added 10 points and four steals off of the bench and
Trasity Totten added seven points and three steals.
UAPB shared the ball well in Monday's game, racking up 11 assists on 17 made field goals. Harris' five assists led the Lady Lions.
After trailing most of the first half, UAPB rallied in the second quarter to take the lead before halftime. An 8-0 UAPB run to the half gave the Lady Lions a 27-26 lead at the break.
However, UAPB was outscored 24-8 in the third quarter as Jackson State regained the lead and pulled away.
The Lady Lions return home to face Miss. Valley St. Saturday at 5 p.m. on Senior Day in the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
