EVANSTON, Ill. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball team lost at Northwestern 92-49 Wednesday night.
Jalen Lynn scored a season-high 12 points and
Markedric Bell posted his second consecutive double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Shaun Doss Jr. posted his fourth straight double-digit scoring game with 10 points.
UAPB got off to a strong start and played well in spurts early. It was a single-digit contest for most of the first 15 minutes, with the Golden Lions taking a 17-15 lead with just over nine minutes to play in the first half on a Lynn three-pointer.
Northwestern regained the lead moments later and led 39-29 at halftime, before pulling away in the second half.
UAPB will conclude its five-game season-opening road trip Saturday at Saint Louis in a 7 p.m. game.
