Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football standouts Jamie Gillan and Terron Armstead and their respective teams posted wins Sunday in week seven of National Football League action.

Gillan and the Cleveland Browns defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 37-34, while Armstead and the New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers 27-24.

In the high scoring contest, Gillan only punted once for 50 yards in the first quarter and was the holder on all Browns' scoring kicks.  In the back-and-forth game, Cleveland scored the game-winning touchdown with 11 seconds remaining to improved to 5-2 on the season.

Armstead and the Saints' offense gained 277 of their 415 total yards through the air, gaining 26 first downs. New Orleans (4-2) drove into position for what proved to be the game-winning field goal with just under eight minutes to play, then forced a Carolina missed field goal with just under two minutes remaining.  

Next week, Cleveland will host the Las Vegas Raiders at noon on FOX, while New Orleans will play at Chicago at 3:25 p.m. on FOX.
