The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's basketball fell to the Southern Jaguars 68-43 Saturday night at the H.O. Clemmons Arena.
Aiya El Hassan, Tyler Pyburn, and Morgan Christian each had six points for UAPB, which started slow out of the gate and trailed 33-14 at halftime.
"We didn't come out ready," said first-year UAPB head coach Dawn Brown. "We have to do a better job playing at home in front of our fans and get the jitters out the way. We'll get back to the lab and get ready for Alcorn State."
The Lady Lions will be back in action Monday for MLK night against Alcorn at 5 p.m. The UAPB Sports Network will have a live radio broadcast starting at 4:45 p.m. on 99.3 FM The Beat, online at uapblionsroar.com, and on the free UAPB Athletics App.
