Volleyball Travels To Jonesboro For A-State Invitational

The non-conference schedule and road trips continue for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff volleyball team as the Lady Lions head to northwest Arkansas for the A-State Invitational hosted by Arkansas State.

UAPB will face Rice at 10 a.m. and Stephen F. Austin at 4 p.m. on Friday, and Arkansas State on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Saturday's contest against the Red Wolves will be streamed live, with the link available at uapblionsroar.com.

"We're playing one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the conference," said first-year UAPB head coach Chelsey Lucas. "The girls are coming into this tournament with the mindset to compete to win. We are getting better as time goes on."

UAPB enters the tournament with a 0-7 record but coming off a strong performance after losing 3-1 at Arkansas Tuesday night. The Lady Lions are looking for their first win of the season.
