EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football star Terron Armstead and the first team New Orleans Saints' offense had an efficient night in the Saints' third preseason game at the New York Jets.
With QB Drew Brees making his first appearance of the preseason, Armstead and his teammates made quick work in the likely final tuneup prior to the season opener vs. Houston on Sept. 9.
The Saints' offensive starters scored a touchdown on its only series of the night in the 28-13 win.
Armstead, entering his seventh NFL season, was a third-round pick out of UAPB in the 2013 NFL Draft. Last season with New Orleans, he was selected as a Pro Bowl starter and was named second-team All-Pro.
The Saints end the preseason hosting Miami Thursday at 7 p.m.
