UAPB Softball Falls to Lady Devilettes

ITTA BENA, Miss., The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff softball team fell 8-2 Tuesday to Mississippi Valley Devilettes in a non-conference game at the MVSU Softball Complex.
 
The Lady Lions' two runs came in the top of the fourth inning.  Tamira Chatman singled up the middle with two outs scoring Ann Jones and Desiree Bumpers who reached earlier on a walk and a single to center field.   
 
Shanice Akins and Bumpers each had two hits apiece for UAPB, followed by Chatman going 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBI.
 
UAPB returns to action for a three-game series at Prairie View A&M beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
