ALEXANDRIA, La. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's golf team finished in fourth place at the 2019 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship at Oak Wing Golf Course.
The Golden Lions completed the 54-hole event with a team score of 934, a nearly 100-shot improvement over last year. UAPB head coach
Roger Totten was named 2019 SWAC Co-Coach of the Year for his team's performance.
Grayson Martin finished just outside of the top 10, tying for 11
th with a score of 231 (75-78-78), two shots ahead of
Niklas Frimodig's 233 (75-80-78).
Tristan Maharaj shot 236 (75-80-81),
Dustin Maenaga shot 240 (86-76-78), and
Joshua McCray 244 (82-83-79) in the final event of the season.
Prairie View A&M won the event for the second straight year, shooting a score of 896 to hold of Alabama State by three shots (899), with Texas Southern finishing third (913).
