PINE BLUFF, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's golf team won its Golden Lion Classic at Harbor Oaks Golf Course.

The Lions shot a team score of 597 (297-300) to win the 36-hole event ahead of Alabama A&M (627; 311-316), Texas Southern (671; 308-363), and Lemoyne-Owen (775; 369-406).

Individually, UAPB had four of the top six finishes and five of the top 11. Tristan Maharaj shot 3-over par 147 (72-75) to finish second overall. Grayson Martin (75-75), and Joshua McCray (75-75) each shot 150 to finish tied for third. Niklas Frimodig finished with sixth with a score of 152 (77-75).  Houston Sowell shot 162 (75-87) to complete the team scoring.

Playing as an individual, UAPB's John Robinson shot 163 (76-87) to finish tied for 12^th.

The Golden Lions return to action April 8-9 at the Tennessee State Big Blue Intercollegiate.
