Rasheed McAlpin Named Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Rasheed McAlpin have been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Track and Field Athletes of the Week following standout efforts during this past weekend of competition.

McAlpin won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.06, good for a personal best. Additionally, he ran a leg of UAPB's 4x400-meter relay team, which won its race with a time of 3:17.07. The result allowed the Golden Lions to move to the No. 1 performance ranking in the relay event among all SWAC teams.
